Richard Owen Died September 26, 2007 at Bay Pines VA Hospital at age 57 of liver cancer. Richard's family moved from Chicago to St. Petersburg in 1959. After high school he entered the Marine Corps at age 18 and served in Vietnam. Richard worked as an independent cab driver and worked 7 years for Suncoast Oil.
Survivors include his son, Curt Karkheck of Redford, MI; his two brothers, Randy and Geoffrey; and sister, Sarah Owen, all of St. Petersburg; and two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Anna. He was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg.
