I know I came back from overseas with the Air Force and was shocked that she was gone.  Might even have been in college...so before 1971.

Carol went to the Univ. of Florida in 1968 as I did. If I'm not mistaken, she died the following year or thereabouts. Really sad. She was special.

Dean Russell,

Carol was a physical therapist in Atlanta and died in a car accident on 2/23/1981 the day before my second son was born.  My wife Betty and I enjoyed some good times in Atlanta with Carol in the mid seventies.Dean Russell

So much for my memory. She was so young.

Mike, my memory is right with yours...GONE.  She was too young...appreciate getting clarification.  I've been overseas too long...retiring in July from 33 years in Japan.  :)

Carol was a true Angel on earth.  I remember Carol as a loving person to every person she met.  I remember hearing of her death at our 10th reunion and feeling devastated.  So true, "Only the good die young."

That's true but what does that say about us.....

Mike , are you moving back to the states when you retire?

I remmember her role in the band.  She played clarinet and was a major leader.  Her brother was also a leader in the band.  Wow, she passed away so long ago. I did not realize that and is shocking.
